If your business serves Frankston and you’re not showing up when people search for what you do, you’re handing that work to whoever ranks above you. Pipeline Plan does local SEO for businesses on the Mornington Peninsula — we’re based in Mount Eliza, so this is our patch too.
Local SEO isn’t the same as regular SEO
When someone searches for a service near them, Google shows a map with three businesses above the normal results. That box is called the local pack, and it takes most of the clicks. Getting into it depends on different things than ranking a blog post does.
Google weighs three things: how close you are to the searcher, how complete and active your Google Business Profile is, and how many genuine reviews you have. Your website matters, but it isn’t the main lever. Plenty of businesses spend money rebuilding a site when the actual problem is an empty Business Profile with two reviews on it.
What we actually do
- Google Business Profile — claimed, verified, filled out properly, service areas set, posts going up regularly
- Reviews — a system for asking clients at the right moment, so it happens consistently instead of never
- Local listings — your name, address and phone identical everywhere they appear, because inconsistency confuses Google
- Pages that target real searches — built around terms people actually type, checked against search volume rather than guessed
- Technical basics — site speed, mobile, indexing, the things that quietly hold a site back
- Tracking — so you can see enquiries, not just rankings
How long it takes
Honest answer: local pack movement can happen in one to three months, because Business Profile work and reviews take effect quickly. Ranking organic pages for competitive terms takes six to twelve months. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches, or telling you what you want to hear.
Common questions
How much does local SEO cost in Australia?
It depends whether you need a one-off setup or ongoing work. A lot of businesses need the foundations fixed once — profile, listings, a few pages — and then very little after that. We’ll tell you which you need rather than defaulting to a monthly retainer.
Do I need a new website first?
Usually not. If your current site loads reasonably and covers your services, we can work with it. We’ll say if a rebuild is genuinely needed — see website design in Frankston if it is.
Can anyone guarantee first place on Google?
No, and nobody can. Google doesn’t sell positions and doesn’t take requests. What we can do is fix the things that demonstrably influence rankings and show you the numbers as they move.

What our clients say
We’d worked with a few marketing agencies before this one. Best experience by far. Everything explained clearly, our online presence improved, and we’re getting consistent, high-quality leads.
